I've Never Felt So Important
The funniest moment today comes courtesy of my travel mate and old friend, Leon. Now Leon's a big Italian guy in a Tony Soprano-esque way. Although at the moment he's sporting a scruffy black beard. For some reason one of the train attendants took a liking to Leon - first he gave Leon the thumbs up and pointed at his own hips. Hrm. Later on, when Leon was fossicking around in our cabin, he walked past, saw Leon, snapped to attention and saluted him. The third bout of weirdness occurred this afternoon when Leon and myself were playing cards in the walkway of the carriage. He wandered past, stopped and repeatedly stroked Leon's copious black forearm hair, grinning. Most confusing for all involved. Was quite a laugh.
Anyway, off to dinner.
