I've Been Battling Lefties

I'm enjoying a flame war with some guy who doesn't reckon he's a left winger. Shyeah right. Check out the blog he writes for. And the post titles! "We support Cindy!", " The Truth About Karl Rove: Alterman is Dead On", "Liar!", "Liar - Pt II", "Liar - Pt III", "Rove Scandal: Bush and Cheney Implicated?", "The Truth About Karl Rove: Alterman is Dead On", "Rove Watch: Fitzgerald has strong basis to prosecute Karl Rove!", " Rove Watch: Fire Rove; No Ethical Basis to Argue He Should Not Be Fired" and so on. Look, the man didn't deserve the Gold Logie but does that warrant dismissal? Calm down. Anyway, here's a snippet of the slap fest I'm having with some clueless lefty:

Your whole blog is predicated on whining. And you're rather undiscerning with your political labelling. Hitler was far right. The conservative figures you mentioned above aren't. I understand it's part of your propaganda campaign to tag them thus, but it does your credibility no good at all.

If you can't see what the liberal (and I mean liberal in the classical sense, not the American corruption of the definition) right has managed to achieve over the past couple of decades, just take a look at the nature of leaders from once left-leaning parties such as Tony Blair and Bill Clinton. Peer especially closely at their economics. There's a good chap.

You're in utter denial if you think the right hasn't achieved anything. All it's achieved is the comprehensive defeat of the left to the extent that your (at one point in history, left leaning) leaders aren't much different to those on the right. Your only true leftist candidates are unelectables like Nader. And yes, you are a leftist, sorry. You haven't lost the battle, you've lost the war. Look at the nature of your campaigns. You're reduced to impotent carping and howling, focussing on and propping up the ill-informed crusades of mentally unstable individuals. Cindy Sheehan - what a joke!

Your creed has lost its dynamism. You guys don't say anything new, you have no source of original theorising. You have no plan to advance society. The agenda has been completely taken off you. You're reduced to sitting about, bitching and moaning whilst nearly everyone else is looking the other way. That's what the left has come down to these days. Suck it up.
